2023 FGS Budget Review

Will be interesting to see there numbers compared to Southwest/Hirshabelle. Also who wouldn't want to be a state when u can get a milly in foreign grants some months.
Yeah having FMS is huge in somalia. they will get this money each month. They also getting troops federalized and probably will also get some number of police paid for as well. can also start doing deals with businesses abroad.

the only issue is with the huge aid cuts. the whole economy and goverments all heavily aid dependent. With the huge slashes america maid we probably will see effect hard next year as losses take toll. these FMS funds might vanish then. America is stepping back and i doubt a russia will step in like in the past

govt needs to do what it can to survive FMS and FGS. Now is time to trim fat. evaluate what everyone is working on and fire non essential personel. resources need to go towards food independence and health

Withdrawal symptoms will be painful but mabye better days on other side

@Hilmaam they have received 141 million in grants through the year compared to the 900 million dollar estimate for 2025. They are still afloat somehow, HSM wizardry.
The 900 was very optmistic and big jump in previous years grants. Even so the 141 million is low for even past years half way through year. they will access IMF funds for budget shortfall. If it continues next year probably will try to access loans I'm guessing which involve higher interest rates. this will be temporary to stop bleeding eventually hard decisions will need to be made about the bureaucracy and 4.5 system. current govt is way too bloated need to trim big time, this is issue FGS and FMSs

Fiscal operations by end of June 2025 resulted in an overall deficit including grants of $55.63 million (0.43% of GDP) against an annual target of $27.74 million (0.21% of GDP). The deficit was largely financed through the use of IMF SDRs.
