20 largest cities in Somalia

The agricultural crop production for Middle Shabelle suggests it can only support maybe 100,000 people at most.
The region must be super ineffective at crop production then. According to you 5 hectares are needed to feed feed 1 person. That's almost as ineffective as hunter gatherer lifestyle.

While the most primitive agricultural methods produce food on a hectare(sorghum) for about 2 people.

In 2024, Middle Shabelle produced:

-1261 tons of cowpea
-4020 tons of sesame
-12390 tons of maisie
-9100 tons of rice
-186 tons of sorghum

That will feed around 100k people.

Asebot iska ilow Horta laakin Mieso are mostly Oromo speaking yes some do speak Somali but majority waa af Oromo idk why but Oromo culture and language seems to be more dominate them the Somali which is probably because they are under Oromia and Oromo don’t like outsiders

Mieso has always been two districts. One is Mieso in Shinile Zone where they all speak Somali for obvious reasons and Mieso West Haraghe Zone where the “administrative language” is Afaan Oromo. The actual Mieso town where Hawiye have always been a minority (expanded onto it recently) is in Mieso district of Oromia. Same thing with Asebot and Bardode, although Hawiye form a significant portion today. Those towns have a right to be in Oromia.

I am not arguing their right to be in Oromia, my point is that Somalis in Oromia are absolutely dominated by the dominate Oromo Culture and everthing that comes with it. We have seen it time and time again

Stay on topic saxib. They speak Somali in Mieso, Asabot, Hawi Gudina all 3 being in Oromia close to the Somali region. Only the ones deep in Oromia far away from K5 have lost their language but nevertheless still kept their lineage. I can’t speak for other tribes though.

Garaad Cali from Galbeed confirms this at 5:30. Only the ones deep in Oromia, Sidame etc have lost their language. Their lineage though is still intact.

Anyways I commend the Karanle Hawiye People for fighting Oromos, maybe they did better then some Dir clans against all odds

Some families migrated willingly deep into Ethiopia to conduct business or spread Islam. These ones became assimilated but still know who they are lineage wise.

Like @NidarNidar mentioned they are bastardised. Hawi Gudina (West Hararghe) or Hawiya Guda (East Hararghe) means where the Hawiye fought or conquered. Guda is like Dhabe. Dirir Dhabe means where the Dir or Dirir (war) was fought.
bro? there is two hawiya doesn't necessarily mean they are one Hawiya itself is an oromo name. hawiya Guda does not mean where hawiya fought or conquered Hawiya Guda in oromo means the bigger hawiya Hawi also is afar oromo.
