You are right. Afgooye is way larger than most of the towns on that list.
It is not bigger than any of the cities listed ahead of it. I can assure you of that.

Jigjiga would be the 3rd biggest city.

Wajaale is around half the size of Dhagaxbuur let alone Kismayo and Djibouti is in competition with Garissa for 4th/5th.
Hargaysa will be overtaken by Jigjiga in the next 5 years. Doolow in Gedo is larger than Wajaale.

ps. I fully expect Jigjiga to become a city more similar to Xamar in terms of size than to any other Somali city. Xamar and Jigjiga will be in a class of their own. I fully expect Jigjiga to become the second Somali city with a million inhabitants in the next 7 years. My Buraashadley cousins from Hargeele have all moved to Jigjiga. Crazy pull.

The only way Jigjiga will overtake Hargeisa is if Jigjiga becomes infested with Oromos and the migrate there.

My people are self sufficient without the help of Galmudug however if Caabudwaaq district were to leave Galmudug today the entire sham of a 'state' would collapse. Go chimp out in Xamar or somewhere else. Cawaan can't co exist with bani Adam. It's just not possible, we have fundamental incompatibles between our two cultures.
Your entire city live past somali border ur lucky ur even part of it

Beledweyne
Galkayo
Garowe
Borama
Beledxaawo
Baardheere
Guriceel
Afgooye
Berbera
Las Anod
Caabudwaaq
Wanlaweyne

@Chaseyourdreamzz you may find this interesting.

GM and HS is empty(huge migrations to hamar and livestock count is low) and Hargeisa isn't what people assume but urban sprawl due to old govt planning and low density, each to his own tho. Either way GDP data is clear as day, livestock is the backbone of Somalia economy hence the real population count is not urban anyways. Like Somalis who Know Somalia will always check out the daaqsin holdings of clans(it's speaks of their strength) as noone whose weak or small can hold such real estate in Africa(wala xoogaya dee).

Real niggas ba jira who still use local intelligence and diaspora niggas who use spreadsheets with formulas that support their premise and has some stamp of an international organization.

How?
What methodology are you using? The number of buildings? How are you counting them?

I have never been to most of these magaalo-ku-sheeg settlements in the desert - but I doubt they have more population than Afgooye.

War Afgoye Anaba dhul ku haysto abti cause my ayeeyo encouraged it for reasons I won't go into here but hawiye waxaa lagu caaya 3 degmo ma buxin Karan in koonfurta hadi .5ka, rahanwayn, banadiri iyo dadka hada loo yaqan un armed majority left, as hawiye is called armed minority(beelaha yar ee hubaysan) lol by raw niggas niyahow 😆

I'd switch Burco and Bossaso, move Las Canod up five spots right after Borame. Las anod have seen massive jump since Goojacade as I've seen it recentley. Also move Qardho four spots.

Baydhabo at 3# makes since. People be sleeping on baydhabo. And Borama gotta be on the top 7 at least if not #6.
Afgayo after Galkayo. Dhusamareb should replace luuq.
Otherwise it’s a solid list.

Merca has to be on the list . Lower shabelle in general has a few huge , quiet towns . The occupied jilib strip is probably around 19th aswell

I highly doubt that, where will it get the population, Jigjiga is more comparable to Burco or Borama.

There can be no debate. Google Open Buildings is infallible.

Number of buildings:
Jigjiga 134,356
Hargaysa 165,243
Burco 62,494

Jigjiga is more at the level of Hargaysa than Burco. Jigjiga is more than 2.5x the size of Burco. Garissa with 77,441 buildings and Wajir with 62,856 buildings are also larger than Burco.

I also encourage you to take a look at time-lapses of Jigjiga and other cities here: https://earthengine.google.com/time...4,latLng&t=0.82&ps=50&bt=19840101&et=20221231
