HS, Specially Middle Shabelle is grossly undercounted, I agree.

300,000 Hectares of Farmland outside of the river bed.

To give you an idea of the scale, this is the cultivated(rainfed) land between Jigjiga and Hargeisa. Which is about 768, 028 Hecctares. Middle Shabelle has 40% of this region that has a population of 3million.

Middle Shabelle has another 200,000 Hectares of irrigated Farmland

1. Wajir with 62,856 buildings has a population of 90,116.
2. Garissa with 77,411 buildings has a population of 163,399.
3. Mandera with 40,741 buildings has a population of 114,718.

This is of course laughable. If you take this data seriously, these three cities have an average household size of 2.03.

kismayo and other places would be greener without camels. the camels decrease greenery. in saudi regions with raina nad greenery they dont let a lot of camels loose so they look greener than kismayo.

I’ve seen videos of camels in places like ijara in NFD they seem to be spreading everywhere even places they never used to roam

Jigjiga will undoubtedly overtake both cities in the next few years.

Djibouti and hargeisa seem to have tapped into their rural base earlier borama and jigjiga will continue growing xamar is also tapping heavily into its rural GM/KGS/HS base I wonder how long it can last

The agricultural crop production for Middle Shabelle suggests it can only support maybe 100,000 people at most.
