1. Fear Allah as much as you can. And know that if you can't see Him, He can see you.
2. Teach yourself to wake up before sun rise. As the saying goes 'early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise'. The sun does not catch successful people in bed.
3. There are certain skills that are hard to acquire outside of school. Pick courses that you like, however pick courses that also challenge you. Make sure you acquire hard skills like statistics and take writing seriously. At the workfloor you should be able to explain complex materials in a short and simple sentences.
4. Life is unfair. Fair is just another four letter word that starts with F. The way you handle disappointments will define you as a person.
5. Never forget who you're, the rest of the world sure won't. Instead of trying to fit in, work hard to stand out.
6. Watch less TV and read more. Books are to the brains what gym is to muscles.
7. Go outside your comfort zone and befriend people that are far away from you in terms of race, religion and social economic status. You'll be surprised how much you'd have in common.
