That's unique to America? Whenever someone does a crime people are always eager to get a picture out here. Why does the US shame its offenders? No other civilised country would release mugshots
She put her kids and other drivers on the road at risk for her stupid reckless decision.
She should be rightfully shamed and paraded.
I hate drunk drivers with a passion.
She drank in the privacy of her home. Her decision to drive with her kids in the car was reckless, but she made that decision while under the influence. She would not have intentionally endangered her kids if she was sober. Are you okay with all the shameful things you've done in private to be put on display on a public Somali forum?
And besides, if you really cared for her kids the last thing you would want is for their mother to be publicly shamed. Now she may commit suicide from the shame, or have a mental breakdown (if she isn't already mentally ill), and I don't see how that helps the kids. In addition, this puts it on public record that their mother was a drunkard, and it will be a source of shame for these kids when they're a bit older.

Driving in public road made this a public affair. Nobody dragged her out and put a gun to her head telling her to drive, and
being drunk isn't an excuse that's going to hold up in court. She put others on the road in danger. Her actions could've
gotten someone KILLED and she needs to learn the seriousness of her actions. If she got away with it this time she would've done this
again and again until she got some innocent person killed. I don't care for her feelings or reputation.
Her kids should be taken from her because she's clearly not fit to be a mother. This culture of sweeping
serious crimes under the rug among the Somali community because of some misplaced shame needs to
end.Lastly if any shameful things I've done in private was put on a public forum without my approval is not remotely
comparable to someone making the decision to drive drunk.

Alcohol does not completely remove all inhibitions. I have experience on this. She was most likely aware that she was drunk when she put her kids in the car. She definitely needs accountability for what she has done. But you can't change the somali community, her children will take the full force shame for her actions when shit like this is shared all across the internet. I do agree that somalis will do everything to hide shame, even marry off their poor daughter to the person who raped her. s really f*ck it up.Driving in public road made this a public affair. Just been more busy these days. And I can't lie, also just tired from all the L's we keep taking as Somalis. It's kinda sapping me of my energy to make posts.
It happened in MinnesotaJust so we're clear everyone-- this happened in the UK not Canada. We would never do such a thing here![]()
