Allah SWT gave the Somali people the equivalent of Thanos’s gauntlet (Somalia), all they had to do was combine the infinity stones (Unity, Industry, Energy, Military, Science and Islam) to become extremely powerful and self-sufficient. Instead they broke the gauntlet into pieces and it remains fractured to this day.

Bullet 2 says current known deposits and grades of iron aren’t economically feasible on world market. This is why no investment or project was kicked off.

more exploration is needed to find bigger and better deposits that will be economically feasible.

But there is potential so we may never know unless we stabilise and kick out all the foreigners exploiting our natural resources.

We need a dictatorship in the form of a royal family that just destroys all clan militias and makes qabil a taboo. If we have compulsory military conscription we could indoctrinate a highly conformist army and use them to restart the nation.

This is how it all started, some youngins trying to xoog the olders, then the older ones died out eventually and the youngins turned old themselves, and the cycle with its natural order continues :wow::wow:

This report is 50 years old. Mining technology has advanced significantly since then. Remember, that US oil reserves just a couple decades ago were considered commercially not viable but today the country has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the biggest producer in the world because technology caught up. In the 1980s countries like Brazil were ready to invest $300 million in a Uranium processing plant in Somalia, but the war prevented it from materialising;

A huge $500 million oil-refinery was also being prepped for construction in Somalia with Saudi and Romanian assistance;

It’s really crazy how little these leaders even comprehend that they could be literal billionaires if they were just a little bit pragmatic and visionary.

Yes agreed we might have minerals and oil wealth more exploration is needed. Just wanted to level set so people know more studies are needed.

yeah we could have used that refinery big time. We have a lot of bad quality diesel and expensive fuels refinery would have paid itself of quick. We had billions in projects planned before collapse. The biggest one being bardheere dam which would have provided electricity and food for millions
