I restarted memorizing as an adult and what really helped was having a buddy. We'd meet in person or talk on the phone weekly and she would listen to me and I'd listen to her. Find someone who is as dedicated as you and who will hold you accountable. May Allah SWT make it easy on you and reward...
May Allah SWT save us all from the punishment of Hellfire. Ameen. Would it be easier in your case to just stay up until Fajr? Or do you think you can start making changes so that you're sleeping much earlier? The first step to making a change is acknowledging that the issue exists so...
Assalamualaikum Sspot family,
I've been having better success with waking up for Fajr on time recently and just wanted to share what's been working for me. Of course, these are reminders to myself first and foremost.
1) Start practicing a nighttime routine. The preparation to pray Fajr on time...
Well I'm glad you did the background check. People lie so much on the internet. And I hope you don't let her reaction deter you from doing other background checks in the future!
Google 'RBF'. I think this usually helps me. Look as confident as possible when you are in public even though deep inside you may be feeling nervous. Chew gum, talk to someone on the phone etc. Anything that makes it look like you are not to be messed with.
I will keep you in my duas. I deal with anxiety myself so I wrote a thread on here on what's helped me. Feel free to check it out. https://www.somalispot.com/threads/anxiety.91057/

Yes! I'm borderline psycho when it comes to background checks. Especially in this day and age when people are getting to know each other for marriage online (social media, Muslim matrimonial sites etc.) If a guy tells me he graduated from a specific university, I will look up that school's...
Surah Al-Ankaboot, Verse 2:
أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوا أَن يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ
Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried?

I love this verse because it demonstrates that there's no faith without...
Assalamualaikum Sspot family,
We're about to come into some of the holiest days of the year which begins this week. Try to fast as many days as possible and in general do as much good deeds as you can.
The Prophet (PBUH) said, “There is no deed that is better in the sight of Allah or more...
Thank you akhi. Acid reflux among other things (tingling, twitching, spasms, back pain etc.) The list goes on and on. My symptoms were so severe that I swore I had MS but alhamdulilah after several MRI's I was cleared of it.
And no I've never looked into CBD. I have used black seed oil though.
