Imagine being a Saudi - having a random man's name as your nationality, or the worst of all, Filipino, being named after the King of the people who enslaved your people

100% agree. But that does not discredit the origins of the Anglo saxon "Smith" The Germains just wanted to "blend in" with the majority "smiths" & avoid the German Hitler connection


Even the royal family of England changed their german last names to Windsor!
German whites are the majority in the US
