But the truth is, Godane (Isaaq-Arap founder of AS) and Afghani (Isaaq-HA, Godane mentor) tried to start a terror cell in Hargeisa. It didn’t work because locals valued the peace they had just fought for during the Habar Habar wars and rejected them.

Southern Somalis haven’t rejected AS yet, and probably won’t ever.

SL is pleased about the instability in the South. PL Al Shabaab find safe havens in the SL side of warsangali. lastly the Al Shabaab attack in Djibouti was orchestrated in Hargeysa and even they made bombs in it they could have targeted Hargeysa but they carried out the attack in Djibouti. in the last 6 years the Djiboutian army in Somalia left them alone so they left Djibouti alone too.

They stayed for a month in Hargeysa and entered Djibouti from the border!

Their is food supply with fertile lands in the south making it an easy hide out location.

Are there farmlands in Galmudug? How come AlShabab has held Xarardheere for years? The truth is that South-Central clans are either not organised or capable enough to defend themselves from these niqabi teens. Middle Jubba is literally the most difficult terrain to fight on the soil and everything. Plus it is where Al Shabaab keep most of their highest trained soldiers. In places like Puntland Where a handful of tribes live there plus it is plain land barely any trees obviously it's going to be very easy to fight in that sort of terrain.

Facts. Look at GalGala mountains. Due to the terrain and easy hideout there it has been hard for Puntland to get rid of Dash. That is Equivalent to Koonfur and how the environment makes it harder to defeat Al Shabaab.

Isn’t even about land quality at all. The south, especially SWS, and Galgaduud is relatively flat. While Puntland (with an exception of Mudug) is mountainous, look at Nugaal valley for example. And all of Bari. Is that terrain suitable for “guerrilla warfare”?
