Those NGO's looking to buy that agricultural land, gov is probably in on it.It's gone so far that even (former) farmers are today dependent on imports. Successive droughts, alongside gov't negligence and shady NGOs have drastically reduced our agricultural outputs, year after year. Even AS presence/occupation has greatly affected many farming communities.
Just think about it; your people have been single handedly been affected the worst by being forced to urbanize due to external factors to larger cities. Over the years, these farming people adopt to urban life and loose some of their farming skills and will likely have an impact if they go back to their farmland one day. The gov't need to take these issues more seriously.
