Sorry but you seem to have made the mistake of assuming Meles a laangaab Tigray who needed ethnic federalism is something the now Abiy Oromo elites need. Oromo dominated federal forces will be controlling all parts of Ethiopia it looks like. Abiy is well on his way to his goal as he now crushes Amhara after Tigray surrender.

Agreed. I find it hilarious if people think that ethnic federalism will be abolished simply like that. We all saw the disastrous war against Tigrayans, that the regime couldn't face by themselves, without Eritrean support. Imagine if the entire country go against him, because at this point most people are pro-ethnic federalism. Along with every other problem in ETH, they are heading backwards. Ethiopian society is fragmented to the point that anything can break it down now. Even without major war. Just coordinated/organized actions against the regime throughout the country. Think long term. Integrating into the national army is nothing short of suicide. First of all, we (Somalis) have never historically fought for Ethiopians (interests) in their imperial/genocidal wars. Imagine if this happened 3 years ago, most of them would've probably been perished by now in Tigray. The regime doesn't care about its people, let alone its armed forces.
