There are young people emulating them right now, it's a culture tbf. We have to give all power to the judiciary and hold them accountable for prosecuting each crime. They should never allow cultural silliness to override justice.

@Repenting Slave there's a big space of misunderstanding between the understanding of the diaspora on how to handle this situation to the people that were raised and lived in that Golgodob town.

The diaspora folks are aghast at this crime and believe that severe punishment must be applied on these criminals while these elders cant comprehend what this "crazy" view is coming to them. These elders are used to approach this through vested interest in their judgement. They recognize these criminals as their own tribesmen. The tribesmen that are needed to fight for the tribe. In their view it is just like how the US does not allow their soldiers overseas to be prosecuted by the local jurisdiction. The US then prosecutes them with their slap of the hand punishment.

We must understand from their point of view as you also accept how the US also protects its soldiers.

We must use wisdom to understand these people. 25 years no compensation and no parole. It was double attempted murder and double rape, money is inappropriate in this situation.
