I agree I think the civil war happend at the worst possible time when you look at the effects it had on the society
Probably a military junta from the biggest qabils, then after a few decades a transition to some kind of democracy

SYL did support the osmanya script what you talking about. It was Siyaad Barre fault that latin was adopted
Osmaniya did have some popularity but it was getting increasingly outshined by Shire Jama script during the 60s, this is why it only took 2 years after the coup to adopt the Shire Jama script officially.
the thing that burns me to the core is that one of the corner stones of Kacaan legacy is the Shire Jama script, something they have no right to take credit for since it was being developed and about to get adopted by the SYL government. The credit goes to Shire Jama and the SYL government, not the Kacaan.

Shire Jama script is being used in Djibouti, Jigjiga, Hargaisa and Mogadishu, its the official written language of the Somali world.

No it isn't, the best script even recognized by the SYL government was the Shire Jama script, being the best is why it was recognized, officially adopted and used by everybody today ! and its the intellectual property of Rer Dalal Ugaas.

No they didnβt. They supported Latin and GSL supported Latin script but no one supported Osmanya and like almost no one wrote in it. Itβs a historical curiosity like Glagolitic.
