Ive seen a young guy spent 150k on a house in somaliland. It was literally a desert.
150k in Mombasa will get you a huge private villa mansion with a pool and nice palm trees with close access to the ocean. Somali construction prices are not realistic for what you get.
I wouldn't move back especially at this juncture. Political corruption is rife and the situation is often tenuous.
Won’t last long. He’ll be back in Aussie-land within 90 days. There’s a reason few western born Somalis his age move to Somaliland. No jobs, little recreational activities, poverty and struggle everywhere since the draughts. A lot to handle for someone born in the West.
Somalis will accept you generally if your father is a Somali. That and speaking Somali helps a great deal. The most you’d get is jokes or funny remarks from locals, I can attest to this since I know a Somali/Irish guy who’s been there.

Not weak genes, all it is the Eurasian components go from 45% to 75%, and the SSA (Sub-Saharan African) DNA is getting reduced. Same could be said if a Somali person has a child with a purely 100% SSA person.
Somalis are already a half Eurasian or Natufian-like ancestrally. You could say someone could definitely look HALF-RACE if it is completely two separate races. Somalis are already a mix of two major groups.
Taking this into consideration, I think Somalis actually have strong genes.

It's not about dominance in DNA, literally if you say this person looks very somali that means you have more "Madow" DNA looool. Because standard or pure somali DNA is half and half not 100% of one precursor race.
Phenotype and genetics is not the same thing.
Whilst genetically a half somali/half white might be 75 % non african, it doesn’t mean they will look only 1/4 african. Maya jama is half scandinavian but can pass as somali.
Another example is Masai/Tutsi they are half Nilotic/Bantu and half Somali but they look very Cushitic.
He needs intervention. We can't have a half breed muse bixi in charge of Somaliland in the future.

Authobillah sis. What’s going on? A bit ironic considering that Somalis are indeed mixed people. No one 100% anything. A bit of kindness and acceptance goes a long way.
As for that young lad, I hope he loves it back home and stays longer.
