Look according to her story her daughter had an arab friend over and since it was getting late she told her daughter that the girl needs go back to her home the friend left next thing you know she cant find her daughter its 9 am so she calls the cops the police find her daughter and when she ask to see her daughter she gets told No than the rest of her 7 kids get taken away another story is that she goes to different aroos and gets paid doing buranbuur who she leave the kids to I dont know

But either way raising kids is a two man job just cause a mother is a stay at home wife dont mean shes the only one responsible for the child these social services they look for neglect, failure to maintain a reasonable degree of interest,concern and responsibility for the childs welfare

In Europe you always see and hear stories about somali women who got their kids taken by social workers 98% you only see women demonstrating and supporting each other meanwhile the fathers are nowhere be seen

Imagine being a father and have 0 clue about your kid and not being involved in your kids life in my opinion even if you aint in good terms with your wife ,divorced or left her to be with your new wife whatever the situation

The minute you father kids you need take full accountability and responsibility over them only way you can do that is by being a man set aside your differences and make arrangements with your ex about visiting and spending time with them

Children are an amana theyre a trust that Allah has placed in your hands but with somalis its been normalized seeing couple go their separate ways and the man doesn't look back nor contact his kids

How can all Somali men be deadbeat bums? Look at your thread title - one thing is to talk about or highlight an issue another thing is to generalize, demonize and smear the Somali men.. If you are a Somali man answer these questions.

a. Do you see yourself as a deadbeat father who would never fight for your kids because of your ethnicity?

b. Was your father absent in your life?

If I generalize why you taking it personal ask yourself do we have a problem with deadbeat bums in our community? am I right or wrong?

2ndly in the somali community many times you’ll see women shamed for being a bad mother hell some Somali women even get shamed and blamed if they get raped

How come you don’t see a rapist getting shamed?

A absent father getting shamed?

Or a deadbeat father that don’t give a shit about his kids get shamed for it?

Same thing applies you can’t have certain expectations from women and set very low expectations for Somali men and have 0 accountability
