When pretty much 80% of your state’s economy comes from 1 city alone that’s a big problem. Go see Peoria, Springfield, East St.Louis, Rockford etc that shit doesn’t compare to Minneapolis/St.Paul, St.Cloud, Rochester. Also it doesn’t matter if they are bigger because a lot of mathows who came from Illinois live here, they tell me it’s nothing out there.

I agree with you on the size thing (population) obviously but bro come on now. Take away Chicago and Illinois would easily be the poorest state in America. Ohio has Columbus which is a economical powerhouse I’ll give them that but every city outside of Columbus is pretty much dead broke.
Michigan has the poorest and most abandoned failure of a city in the history of America, (Detroit) and is known for poverty ( many companies left Michigan). You have to be from America to know shit like this, I’ve been to all 3 of those states. MN is becoming face of the Midwest for a reason, people from all around America are moving here like crazy, it’s the reason why people call it the ‘mini-big apple’ or ‘Minni- apple.’

Ohio just has more people but dollar for dollar MN is better. Illinois is again just the Chicago area I agree. This decay is recent tho. 30-40 years ago Ohio and Michigan were some of the best places to live in the country. A good auto job set you up for life there. When we were on our way back up to Toronto after we toured the US east coast in 2016 I was shocked at how shit Ohio was

The south wasn't too bad in the cities. The Carolinas and Georgia were decent. I didn't venture into the suburbs tho. On the other hand in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia was dogshit. Wallahi our hotel was downtown behind the convention centre and there was some street vents and I smelled it and immediately threw up right at the entrance of the hotel

Philly is one of the dirtiest cities in America, it’s basically fiends and xaar everywhere. The Carolinas and Georgia are in great shape compared to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and shit tho.
