America's murder rate won't change because the people committing murder don't even follow the law. All banning guns does is make it so people who do follow the law can't defend themselves. All of this murder in the US is a cultural problem. The Swiss population is well armed but you don't hear about them shooting up schools or local gatherings because their culture is different.
