It's amazing when you think about it. I wasn't as hateful as I am before I started using internet forums. If I take a break it goes away but then it comes back after a while. I seem nationalistic and write racist shit against Ethiopians occasionally but I don't even hate them. They're all cool and generally nice people.

I'll end up writing some racist shit about cadaan people but I don't actually hate them either. Most are honestly normal and decent people.

thing is it gets worse when I converse with certain people, I didn't even know I was this susceptible to external influences. Sometimes it gets so so bad I look at my posts in disgust.

I see what you're saying, a lot of the people you're describing have said on despicable things but for me at least if they make a genuine effort into apologizing on what they've previously said and have shown a change of heart in terms of beliefs/overall character then I'd personally forgive them, holding grudges on people who were already remorseful. (IF THE PERSON DID ASK FOR FORGIVENESS) if its those that did not ask for forgiveness and continue to do dumb shit f*ck em

At the end of the day Allah is the one who decides who to forgive or not. It's not up to us to decide. There's even a hadith where Allah accepts the repentance of a man who killed 99 people.

My iman is not yet strong enough to forgive people who do jees-jees on their own people. Especially, when the people they mock are your own relatives. Wa-billahi tawfeeq.

it's not the internet's fault, you deal with so much in the real world, if you go on world wide platforms and look for more "real world" content, it may be too much to handle. I think it's why some prefer fiction and fantasy.
