All I’m seeing online about the past year is that black people had a 30% increase and asians had a 16% increase in suicide. And that black men have the highest increase in suicide, not that they are committing suicide at the highest rate.

I'm not excusing any of that; I'm merely providing context. There are historical systematic factors at play and they can't simply be wished away or disregarded.
As a result of mass incarceration and the high mortality rates among AA males, black women outnumber black men; the education attainment disparity is a lot less remarkable when that is factored in.
I'm not AA, so the system in the States has zero relevance to my life.
I'll go back to my studies and pick up economics and return to my County, in order to make a difference because that's all I can do.
