you don't need to an academic approach to everything. if the "free candy" van appears, you shouldn't need a 300 page paper with academic citations, diagrams, charts and mathematical equations to tell you not to go into the "free candy" van.

Similarly, I don't need an 800-page hardcover book with charts and diagrams written by a team of nobel prize winners to tell me Nixon didn't call the moon from a house phone in the 1960's.

I believe just the absurd "moon phone call" should tell you everything you need to know that this is fake. But if you really want to go in depth, there is a whole series of articles by Dave McGowan that go into all sorts of detail and make it very obvious that the moon landing was fake:
