Almost a quarter of a million people have died in Yemen’s war, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on its website on Tuesday, confirming the huge toll from a conflict that has ravaged Yemen’s economy and created the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Saudi-led coalition warplanes struck targets in Yemen's Houthi-held capital Sanaa on Thursday in retaliation for attacks in the southern port city of Aden the previous day that took place as officials in a government backed by Riyadh arrived there.
Yemen is unfortunately a Proxy war. While it seems it’s Saudi vs Iran backed Houthis.
Just look at which Superpowers are aiding who. One is backed by the West and the other is backed by China,Russia etc.
In my opinion it’s an indirect Cold War by the western world vs Russia and China. The Saudis and Iran are just pawns in all of this. Unfortunately it’s Yemeni civilians caught in the middle of the crossfire
We should be seeing at least 200,000 Yemeni refugees scattered across East Africa by now given their closest proximity (only 30 minutes by boat to Horner coast).
But you hardly hear them settling over there. Weird.
