Is it worth it tho ? I want to pay for the Big-Y but it still is very pricey :( How far does the basic Y test of goes ?

Also, does anybody know about https://ytree.morleydna.com ? And how accurate it is ? It basically is a Y-DNA Haplogroup predictor where you just run your raw dna data and it's using the few SNPs available on their files (from Myheritage, 23andme...) and t said I was "most likely T", but I'm a Djiboutian Habar Awal ? I've always thought I'm E-V32 just like the ones tested in Djibouti :/

Have you taken the lower ydna testing yet? Big y is expensive but if you have the money it can be worth it. It helps learn about you and your family and helps further Somali dna research too and how we all connect. If you want to take it a step at a time like we did, start out with the 37 marker ydna test and learn what you can from that. You can upgrade anytime after that by paying more if you want to.

I tried my husbands on that Morleydna and it was close but not exact. It may be right for some and wrong for others.

It’s not unusual to find T amongst Somalis and Js although a majority are EV32. It doesn’t change the fact that you are Somali unless you’ve had recent mixes.

If you take a look at the attached data of a small sample in the Somali project at family tree dna you can see some isaacs do have T. I’ve seen hawiyas carry it too but not as much.

yeah I know but it seems like I could be the only HA that has T1a. All the ones who tested got E-V32.
I’m currently waiting for my 23andMe results. It’s probably 50/50 on what I’ll get assigned to

Interesting. Maybe you will have matches on 23andme that will help you narrow things down. In all honesty tribes get kind of messy as it goes farther. Within all major tribes there has been some hablogroup variations. I do not know much about tribes but isn't HA isaac? Im sure there are other T's. The issue is there isn't enough Somalis testing. I have several family members that took 23andMe and had Isaac connects. I will keep an eye out for HA t's. Keep me updated.

all clans mixed about and sub branches could be from another clan, you should look more into your subclans history.
