Go outside and talk to every ajnabi person you meet, you will probably have to go through maybe hundreds if not thousands before you meet a single person who knows about somali qabiilism.Exactly and Johnny somali only use the name “Somali” because somalis had that controversial reputation already FROM movies and the news…. like I swear these youngins are too young to have remembered the impact of that captain Phillips movie everybody was saying “I am the captain now”![]()

Yup 100% you totally have a point too ppl don’t realize nowadays that the ENTIRE INTERNET itself is an echo chamber bc of social media algorithms…. it’s weird because my friends will bring up “viral” stuff that I have never seen or heard of despite how many views and likes whatever they show me have, but for some reason my mom and I always see the same stuff on social media. Every damn time I got something to show her she’s already seen it and vice versaGo outside and talk to every ajnabi person you meet, you will probably have to go through maybe hundreds if not thousands before you meet a single person who knows about somali qabiilism.
twitter in itself is an echo chamber.
I remember one time posts about the new lilo & stitch movie were going viral. Like I would constantly see tweets bashing how the new movie is bad getting 100K+ likes on average.
I kept seeing it so much I genuinely thought everyone was talking about it. I bring it up to my irl friend group, literally no one even knew there was a lilo & stitch movie in theatres except for my 1 friend who also uses twitter as much as me.
and by the way this was a genuinely viral topic on twitter at the time. Now imagine just how little traction random little posts about Somalis that get MAXIMUM 10K likes on twitter are.
the last time I saw a twitter viral topic go internet viral was that 100 men vs 1 gorilla meme. And the original tweet had like 1 million likes and was cross posted to TikTok, Reddit and instagram with people making so many TikTok’s about it and even YouTubers making analyses on it.
that’s genuinely what it takes for a topic on X to actually have impact on the wider internet culture. If it’s not hitting TikTok and YouTube, it’s not viral. IMO.
none of these words are in the quranSo you are actually bent? Checks.
