Most unless they come from an actual Berber tribe identify as Arabs and even then, there are those that know which Berber tribe they hail from but forget their language due to living in the cities for a few generations like my mother-in-law's family.

Overall the vast majority of their ancestry is from the pre-Arabic invasions tho many do carry substantial Arabian (Saudi/Yemeni-like ancestry) between 5-40% depending on where they come from in the Maghreb.Libyans & Tunisians tend to have higher levels of Arabian ancestry compared to Moroccans/Algerian Arab identifying folks

If u look at DNA substantial based on Arabs many people of those 420M Arabs aren’t even Arabs like bedouin tribes in Arabia but just Arabized ones like maghrebs of North Africa and Assyrian of Iraq Kurds & chaldeans Turkic-Iranian and so on
