What makes Xaliye so not entertaining is that he is in Africa, a continent which doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to women's rights (mostly due poverty and lack of education) combined with women not having a lot of opportunities to actually be financially independent. So what more does Xaliye truly want?

Absolutely true, I think women are much more involved in small local economies in Somalia than men who mostly rely on remittances. They are the tomato sellers, khat sellers, clothes, honey etc etc. You name it. I think she has this 'damsel in distress' view about Somali sisters whom quite frankly are very smart women and excel both in Somalia and the West. I know one girl who came here a year ago and shes already making more money than girls that just listen to Megan Tha Stallion and do their lacefronts talking about I need a high value man. Similarly, the guy who founded Hass Petroleum came to the West, stayed in Canada for awhile, and then saw that he could hardly do much. He want back to East Africa and established the largest petroleum company in East Africa.

Bottom line, there are opportunities in Africa for those who want to grab it. And contrary to your belief, life doesn't just revolve around living in the West.

I aint a fob (fresh off the boat). I wasn't part of the Titanic wave that crossed the Mediterranean to Europe. I went to America by plane.

I disagree with you on the opportunities back home. There are many opportunities. But the main problem is it is not regulated. Employee rights are non-existent. Taxation is not sufficient. And services aren't delivered to the people. There is lack of effective government authorities that regulate the market, create conducive environment for business, and deliver services to people.

Now, you have your hands full if you're making every problem between Somali men and women; it is not. The weird form of Somali men-hating mantra that you run with doesn't exist back home.

First, stop making shit up. In other platforms outside of SSPOT, you were very clear that you were raised in Somalia and left it before the civil war. On the issue of why people tahriib, you're dancing around the root causes that contribute to the agony our people back home face. It is the lack of effective government and the absence of national institutions that contribute to despair and neglect. And once those issues are fixed, living conditions will improve.

Fyi, so far I've been gentle and didn't bring up the real reasons why you like to scapegoat Somali men. But you know it and I am not someone that You can fool. I know why you do it.
