It's a very well kept secret that Dolow is the international communities secret card in south Somalia. Dolow itself is very prosperous and safe thanks to it's border custom revenue from Ethiopia. It along with Beledhawo receive the most in revenue from customs alone before even considering other forms of taxation. Also adding to that is the fact it's the only city in the entire south never to be taken by AS which means it's a long time guaranteed safe spot for the intl community and their projects. While AY govt was based in Baydhabo the intl community was based in Dolow during the war against ICU


I don't think it will be bad for us at all, on the contrary this shows at least one city is relatively safe enought for the intl community to open their new offices here. I suspect this will be their new base of operations if the trends with AS offensive continues and Xamar itself is threatened.
