In the U.S., almost always in the ghettos and slums, there're people that buy food in bulk and sell plates of the food for $2-3; similar to what "Hungry-Man Frozen Dinners" are.

I never bought from those people, I didn't realize they're actually just saying "plate". I think I've heard someone talk about buying a "plate" but I thought they will at least tell you what you're buying a plate of. I guess they normally would but this guy didn't ask.
