Would you Stay Married to Your Spouse for the Sake of Your Children?

If your spouse is reasonable and has the same idea then what's the problem to at least see them off till university even if you are not happy together it might be good for the child. So I will say it depends on the couple and their feelings not the feelings of a single parent.

alot of people say that but when a guy sees he will spend much less time with his kids after divorce or a woman sees the possibility of becoming a single mother they stay married for practicality
Yes basically what I said. None of those reasons are for the kids, but rather, it’s about them. It takes lots of strength to leave a marriage: no one goes into it wanting to be a single parent/divorce.

Not sure what you mean by the last sentence.

I would leave but my boys are coming with me.
My daughters can live with their mother
That's gonna be a part of the prenup

Don’t fall in love before you get married :draketf:
Make sure they fulfil your mature criteria before you decide to have kids with them
Don’t look for the prettiest girl or the richest guy
Ask yourself if you are actually emotionally and mentally mature enough for marriage.
Get rid of the rose coloured glasses and Hollywood love.
Once you’ve done your due diligence
Divorce is not an option
Team work makes the dream work :samwelcome:

i would say its about them and the kids. they also dont want the kids to grow up with divorced parents. the couple dont want to be married to each other but they dont really show it in front of their kids. it isnt always toxic but dead marriage.
