Would you move back...

The reason I asked this question is that when I was in Mogadishu, I spoke with one of the guys in the government looking at the seismic data from the Spectrum report, and he confirmed the large deposits of Oil and Gas of Somalia's shore.

However, he noted that because of the lack of a constitution and resource-sharing agreement between the federal states, it will take at least 5 to 7 years to even see anything coming out of the ground.

If Somalia discovered massive oil and gas fields and billions started flowing in. The government offered generous incentives like housing, healthcare, and jobs similar to the petro gulf states.

The only catch is you can't have dual citizenship to claim those benefits...what would you?
No chance in hell. Somalis have this fantasy that the country will become like Dubai if there's oil but it will be more like Congo.

Ofcourse, I'm assuming most of us on this forum will also move back eventually inshallah .

I use to think like that, but I am not sure the new generation thinks like that.

I mean they have to move because of necessity, life in the west is getting harder and harder by the day.
