Nah bro I look Somali I’m dark skinned with curly hair small nose typical Somali features. My sister does get mistaken for Arab sometimes but that’s only cause she’s super light skinned.

To be a Somali, your father has to come from one of the native 5.0 clans in Somaliweyne and have a patrineal lineage to a Somali clan. It doesn't matter even if he/she doesn't even speak one word of Somali nor does it matter what his/her mother is.

The same system exists in all Arab countries. For example, you can have a Saudi born of a European mother and doesnt speak one word of Arabic but is fully entitled to Saudi citizenship and is considered Arab by everyone. We follow the same system.

The averaged mixed Somali won't have a hard time back home or in the diaspora; it's just online, if you're respectful and courteous, no one will bat an eye, if you are a fluent Somali speaker, bonus points.
