As long as the country is rich and prosperous, tourism shouldn't really influence or change the culture/ religion that much.

Regular Omanis/Emiratis are very conservative and keep to themselves, despite having an influx of people coming every yr.

Problems will arise if the natives of Somalia do not have money. The first to be corrupted/used and abused would be women and children.

Nobody is coming to Somalia for any reason, the brand is tarnished for at least several generations. Somalia might get a small # of tourists with a "check it off" mentality, but that country is too poor, backwards, and worst of all Islamic to attract tourism. Nobody wants to be denied a cold beer while risking being blown up by some dumb Allah boys who think suicide bombings will get them to heaven

Somalia is too far away from the 'cold' regions of the world (Europe, North America, Russia, China etc) for mass tourism. Places like the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia etc are more suited for it.

Somalia can also not compete when it comes to African wildlife that other more fertile African countries have (Kenya, Tanzania etc).

Perhaps it can focus on niche tourism or eco tourism, but I doubt mass tourism will ever take off in Somalia.

The problem is competition from places like Egypt, Dubai, Ethiopia, and Kenya where normie tourists would rather go to. Tourists going to Somalia specifically must be experienced travelers (smaller market).
