Not really. In the last 70 years of so any attempt of annexation failed to be recognized.I was imagining (sadly) a president who would fight Ethiopia and get back our chunks of land in Kenya as well. Then I remembered that this probably wouldn’t work out nowadays.

Example, Russia effectively occupied and annexed Crimea in 2014 (Ukraine) but the international community refused to recognize it.
You can only annex a territory that is already legally yours like azebaijan is trying to do recently against armenian occupied nagorno karabakh. If you try to annex a territory that wasn't legally part of your country then the international community would never recognize the annexation even if you succeed
