Without networking, any degree is equally useless. But many people study whatever interests them rather than caring about job prospects. A fine arts major is equal to an engineering one. I know a few who studied engineering who are jobless and have been for year. Networking is the only thing that is important when trying to get a job.

Medicine is the only field where you are guaranteed work practically the next day without any networking required.

To be honest I heard of unemployed people who have masters from Imperial college London (top 10 uni in the world) on engineering.

But general rule is anything arty farty, anything with studies in the subject title.
Sociology, psychology all that trash

Psychology is such an interesting field. I did it as a minor and considered as my masters but choose eventually something else.

As long as you belong to the top 5% students, no degree is useless. I know an architect and a recent graduate in medicine who are sitting home. Its really hard for young doctors to find a residency for a specialisation tenure.
