Word of The Day: how to say ‘United Nations’ in Somali language?

thoughts
You are correct. I used to hear 'Quruumaha Midoobay' from BBC Radio, but I prefer 'Qaramada Midoobay' as it is consistent with Somali grammar. The term 'Qaramada' is easily recognizable as it only adds a suffix, which distinguishes it from the singular form 'Qaran'. However, I do not like how the Arabic language forms the plural, which can make it unrecognizable unless you are familiar with Arabic grammar.

fun fact:
I used to think that quruun meant evil soul.
