The literal translation of "Biyo macmacaan" in English is "sweet tasting water," but we are not seeking a literal interpretation. Instead, we are looking to understand the intended meaning of the phrase when used in a sentence or in any other context.
Ah makes sense!

A lesser known word, "Dhanyo"

And "Gasiin" for food
I think I heard them in a some epic poems from DDS. It look familiar. I love it. It will be part of my daily use.

Also, I wonder if dhanyo has connections with these words- dhane => type of water , dhan=> to drink, dhadhan => to taste, and dhamid = to eat.

Yes, you have got it.
a) 'Dhan' is the correct Somali word for drink, albeit is only used in the countryside; i.e. 'waar dhan caanaha'.

'Dhamid' means drinking.

b) 'Cab' is Arabic as in '3abba', meaning gulping without breathing.
