You peasants here have no idea what’s brewing in northeast Africa. Ethiopia was sitting on a little farmland that belonged to Sudan. Sudan kept quite for decades because it had its internal problems. Finally Ethiopia had the Tigray war last year and Sudan saw the chance and completely confiscated her former land. Ethiopia came back and demanded the land back. There has been skirmishes but Sudan is dead set on a war.
Egypt in the other hand has been going back and forth with Ethiopia to not mess with the Nile river, her source of livelihood. Ethiopia flexed her attitude thinking that it had no vulnerabilities that Egypt can exploit. That’s when luck sided with Egypt in the form of the Tigray crisis. Now Ethiopia is feeling like the Somalia has been feeling for the past 30 years. Like Somalia, whereby neighboring countries were having turns on her like a hooker on the streets of Bangkok, Ethiopia about to feel the D. Egypt and Sudan intent to break her up and destabilize her.

I will grab my popcorn. Let the fun start

Blah blah blah. Ethiopia will execute the second filling of the dam in the coming rainy season. No one can and will stop it. All this diplomatic ballet dance to pressure Ethiopia will have no effect on the filing of the dam. Mark my word. But you can join the wishful thinking dance until the date of the second filling of the dam and then curse Egypt as usual for not going to war with Ethiopia. You seriously think Ethiopia is building a huge dam and to finally not to fill it? hahaha nice joke. You think the dam is some religious build or something? Dams are built to be filled with water. Period!

Sudan and Egypt aren't going to be able to invade into Ethiopia, the terrain is just to hard.

However, the US might get involved because they need Egypt to be stable (Suez Canal) and if the dam gets built I heard that there won't be food for 90% of Egyptians. And the US could use the Tigray war as an excuse to invade.

But no matter what it's just going to end up into another Afghanistan if it ends in war. Might see Ogaden join Somalia though.

Why should we join Somalia when er can become our own country?

The Mahdists were able to invade Ethiopia and destroy Gondar with primitive weapons, then they beheaded their king when he tried to invade Sudan and "Christianize" all Muslims in the region. So it wouldn't be hard to invade them now that their army is destroyed and Abiy is forcing Ethiopian children to join the military.

The Somali regional state should be it’s own country. Somalia is a shitshow. If they managed to secede. They’d have a better time with security and tackling corruption. Also they have natural resources. If they seceded whilst taking control of the rivers and creating a proper govt and constitution. It can easily lead the horn.

cant believe somalis think this way , imagine a people who speak one langauge and culture and religion , yet want dozens of little countries to be easily gobbled up

i agree but im afraid it will turn into another qabiil fief, and be so fundamentally corrupt just like any other somali state. No somali will accept another somali to rule over him i have said this a million times, only way this country is to be run is through a council of educated scholarly men , not qabilist man children

There are quite a few educated Somalis from galbeed I believe. Also I don’t think men who’ve spent their whole lives fighting for independence will turn to qabil war since there is 1 dominant qabil

That was over a century ago. And Ethiopia isnt using child soldiers its mostly militas from amhara and the eritrean nilitary

I know, I used it as an example since you claimed their terrain is difficult.

They are using child soldiers, even Abiy recently encouraged teenagers (15-17 and even younger) to join the military. Also there's footage of captured Ethiopian soldiers in Tigray and they look like minors.
