But people in Puntland do tend to trust the police more and report cases, which are then widely publicised to spread cheap FKD points. Someone could fart in Puntland and it would spread like wildfire. In every Somali tiktok video, you'll see someone randomly make an allegation against MJs in particular, even if the video is about food. They're obsessed.

If you "believe all women" then it makes sense why you are naturally the weakest link in society and why nobody takes women seriously in court. So keep believing that as you are only hurting the real victims.
If the girl keeps insisting she loves him and they are lovers, then khalas, marry them to each other. If her mother made a fake rape claim, she needs to go to prison. Or pay a huge fine, if the boy and his family accept money instead of jail time.

I have a theory that a good number of premarital sex happens because of a boy begging and brainwashing a girl into it. One of the most famous ways is crying about "Blue Balls", as if a little discomfort and pain will kill them, if they were that desperate they'd masturbate themselves. SMH

Honor killings? Doubt it? Simply isnβt part of our culture. For that to become a common occurrence, Somalis need to have a culture in which they value honor over the lives of their daughters and I donβt think they do. That wasnβt even the case historically. Even when a girl ran off with a man, families were always pretty tame in their responses compared to other ethnic groups.

You need to take rape seriously, you don't know what happened so refrain from speculating. many times young teens can love each but the girl doesn't feel she ready for sex so the boy just forces himself on her and this could be the case here, so for you to just dismiss it for the sake of tribalism shows youre not a genuine feminist and more of a tribalist than a feminist.

This is what happens when Somalis run to social media to throw fuel on the flames instead of having genuine concern for a case. On the bright side, all this social media attention, puts the pressure on the police to handle cases properly and keep the public informed.
