Blame the institution of marriage, divorce is so messy and accusations whether real or false will be aired by both sides. They also drag their children into their messy divorce and damage their mental health. I’ve heard similar accusations within the Somali community where the Somali husband was accused being a pedophile father who touched his little daughters inappropriately. Another guy was accused of raping his sister-in-law who was only 10 years old and living with the couple. When the doctors tested her, they found out she wasn’t abused, but it only brought new problems for them because she was FGM Ed. This is a girl who was born in Australia and raised here. At that time, there were no laws banning such practices, but it became one the case studies that laws banning FGM were enacted soon afterwards. If that dude didn’t go to Africa and marry a younger second wife, she and her family would’ve nominated him as father of the year. I’ve also seen men and their families accusing their former wives of cheating with other men because they were going through a messy divorce, if they weren’t divorcing, they would’ve called her ummal mu’miniin. There was another Somali guy who butchered his wife to death infront of a primary school while dropping her kids watched by frightened kids including their own children. Scorned wives and pissed off former husbands would act like animals and accuse one another of anything. I admire men and women who didn’t involve their children in their messy divorces or divorce one another amicably. Another reason to skip marriage.
