I dont think MJ mixed with Madows and if they did it was rare. Somalis of the interiour were and still are xenophobic. Abgaals who lived in Xamar mixed alot with Reer xamar of Shangaani but those of interiour(nomads) despised them(reer xamar) and looked marriage with them beneath them. Somali bantu mixture produces offsprings that you can detect Somali features from. But when a pure Madow claims to be Somali its easy to tell he/she is a sheegato.

They had to. Somalis of that region were superstitious af. My grandpa used to tell me stories about the colonial era. According to him majority of the ppl in his granpas(my great great grandfather) village refused to walk on the same streets or path as the gaals(Italians). They thaught it would lead them into hell. At this point in time Somalia has not yet learned how to be multicultural. And I think we are going to be part of the throes of that transformation, which must take place. The Horn is not going to be the monolithic societies they once were in the last century. Darods are going to be at the centre of that. It’s a huge transformation for Somalia to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode and Darods will be resented because of our leading role. But without that leading role and without that transformation, Somalia will not survive.

Since you mentioned the "Darods will be resented" by the other clans, how will the Darods ascend to power? Are the Darod sub-clans monolithic? Which one will lead them? Your own sub-sub-clans are divided, killing one another and right now, they are experiencing one of the worst intra-sub-clan wars among the Somali clans, who will unite them and the "Darod" clan at large?
