You know, come to think of it there was a white mid-twenties teacher and she actually took a interest in us and was curious about our culture, we told her to try out Somali food and both her and her husband loved it, we even taught her some words. There was also a young teaching assistant and she was pleasant to be around too, even though she was a introvert.

The ones I'm talking about were all in their 40s and up, maybe it's a generational thing.

The younger women teachers were good. The worst were the old cadaan ones and the brown ones who were wannabe whites. But there’s a huge discrepancy between how white students are treated vs. blacks and POC.

Exactly. I’m not sure where she lied. In school I excelled in most subjects and nothing gets these cadaan teachers more mad than an African kid killing the game. Asian students get respect from these teachers. Asian, hispanic, and white students get their intelligence acknowledged. If you're black, whether from Africa or Black American, they will play mindgames and try to put you down.

The flaw with her thinking is when you have 100s of thousand of teachers out there you gonna get some bad ones. And you can never fully get rid of human bias. People in general sympathies more with their own. So yes some white teachers can be biased, but it’s an extremely small problem compared to the real problem with how Somalis and blacks don’t take education as serious as whites and indhoyar in general

The victim mentality really does nothing but bring people down and give them excuses. Progressive like her tend to focus 9/10 on the negatives and the excuses for us rather than the things we can do better

You won’t have that many people who done masters who want to teach. And the best schools in best areas will always have the first choice. Parents have too much expectations on teachers and always blame teachers. The school I went to as kid was 90% foreign and most of us behaved badly and were nightmare to teach anything. Most of our parents didn’t really have clue. They just send us there and in their mind we were all good kids. Most teachers give up when most kids don’t have the desire to learn. I know I would.
