Every single politician thinks the same and none of them every do anything but sit around and get paid like the country is not an unstable mess where people die daily from violence or hunger. Farmaajo was the closest but he flopped big time.

And I know everyone likes to say it’s because people are against him, but were these people against him when somalis of all clans were celebrating his win :icon rolleyes:. I don’t think people would be so against him if he wasn’t failing at every turn.

It would be nice to have one with a new vision for the country and wouldn’t keep repeating the same steps they’ve been taking for years. At this rate, Somalia will become on par with a country like Nigeria in 2050 let alone the rest of the world lol it’ll be 2100 before Somalia is a 2nd world country

Somali people lack patriotism which is what you need to transform a country, couple this with the lazy nature of Somalis, a truly catastrophic result is what you end up with.

A president for a country like Somalia should be working 7 days a week, doing all he can to tackle poverty and insecurity, but instead they all travel around, buy homes overseas with embezzled money all the while acting like they are working like we are too stupid or crazy to see.

Somali politicians dont have principles, they dont have love for their country and they are all lazy.

A few words it is kheyre's fault plus fahad yasin the qatari agent

confederalism, six regional presidents with 6 different regions that all come together, have equal power and have a veto power, federalism and centralism won't ever work again properly in Somalia after the civil war

It's not so much the president but the people around him. You can have the greatest ideas but if the people don't want to move forward, what can you do? Somalia has a lot of EOP (enemies of progress) and they gain a lot from the instability. Add to that the foreign nations such as the UAE who are working to sabotage any progress and you got a terrible situation.

Yeah too many self interests and well zero middle ground

I don’t understand what the point of the FGS is... why don’t we just have the five presidents just form some sort of union and collaborate on mutual problems like drought, anti terrorism, trade, etc. Why do we need to follow the west and have one supreme ruler as president? That will obviously never work in our culture. If not that we should just go our separate ways.

A Somali union would be good but there are two problems
1) In diverse areas how do you ensure everyone is being represented properly? The leader will obviously be from a dominant clan but oftentimes it creates fiction and imbalance
2) unfortunately not all leaders are made equal. How do we ensure the best leader is ruling the state rather than just the most popular qabil-wise?

If we want a union to work we need every federal state to be on top of their game and that isn't the case right now.

Yup. The worst case of following the west are the useless MPs, really... what do those guys do? Somalia is not the UK lol, it does not need that much positions when they can’t handle the bare minimum.

I agree about the outside agents trying to sabotage, but farmaajo actually had the popular inside support. Everything that caused people to be against him was the result of his alienating them.

The past 30 years have shown us Somalis won't accept another tribe ruling over them. At this point we are just wasting time with the past dreams of 1 united nation.

Federalism is a step in the right direction but langaab clans are trying to sabotage it due to not being in control of any states.
