Geylan has become the biggest liar and deceiver I have ever seen his job on behalf of the ousted F&F is to stir up fitna funded by them. These projects date back to the era of Farmaajo annd the FMS it was singned by the FMS finance ministers including former Hirshabelle finance minister(Baladweyne feerfeer Glk) only the new one is Lascaanod they exclude it as disputed area
So before their funds were secured it took long process. Pl has Galkacyo, Garowe, Boosaso. Garacad port is a local project not SFG project and it was reached during Hassan Sheikhs visit to it he promised to secure the highway funds this is different project why add it to that old project? What about if we add hobyo mogadushu highway? Ceelbuur dhuusamareeb highway cadale jalalaqsi highway that r now under plan and will be carried out after the liberation. Dont mix them these funds are limited to these roads and PL has its share
According Jibril qorey PL has received Garacad highway funds when Deni was in Mogadishu during the conference before the last one. If its not paid yet im sure hassan sh is a man who keeps his word and will do it its about the technicalities.

Nice update saaxib. so there will be a Mogadishu - Hobyo 500km highway passing through Ceeldheer and Mareeg? excellent news. Also, the 250km Highway from Jowhar to Beledweyne should be built as well. I'm aware Mogadishu - Jowhar road is currently under construction a couple of km away from Balcad

yes. Hobyo Mogadishu was postponed bc of al shabaab it will be implemented with other post-iberation Roads like Ceelbuur-dhuusamareeb. Hobyo-cadaado-caabudwaaq, Cadale-mahaday-Buurane -Jalaaqsi

That is a good question. Garacad port will be significantly larger than Mogadishu when it is completed in 2024. It will be mostly servicing Ethiopia's Somali Region and Eastern Oromia.
It is unclear to me that Mogadishu has any advantage over Garacad as a port. It will likely remain dominant regionally in South Central Somalia, but it will be competing with Garacad and Berbera for the Ethiopian market. Mogadishu port is surrounded by the city and will be very difficult to expand in the future. Like the airport, a new port will have to be built in the next decades.
Remember that Berbera is the largest port in Somalia, and yet the town it self is smaller than Qardho. Ports are standalone infrastructure nowadays, the size of the city they are located in does not matter much.

Kismayo - Doolow is not possible due to many circumstances. The road development for now should only be limited to Lower Juba region. Until Middle Juba region is liberated it’s not possible to build a corridor to towns bordering Ethiopia in Gedo.
it’s why Ceelwaaq is a suitable town to include because it’s closer to Kismayo and Dhobley and has a sizable Absame population living there.

If Garacad can capture Galmudug, PL and DDSI market that alone will make it superior to Mogadishu. Mogadishu is also extremely limited by AS taxes etc and is bad for business.
