The politics in Somalia is very unpredictable. The president and the rebellious commander from Gedo are both from the same sub clan. It looks like they made a deal between themselves as a family to break the hold that Governor Madobe has on Kismayo. Anything is possible in Somali politics and this could be the reality on the ground at this very moment. So will Governor Madobe get out of Mogadishu unscathed and still remain in firm control of Kismayo?
Will Farmajo nominate Janan as the president of Jubaland while Governor Madobe is under house arrest in Halane?

The people of JL deserve better leaders that care about the region and well being of the people, we as a nation need to leave behind controversial figures. One of the saddest videos I have seen was how the fugitive Janan was welcomed by the same town he was indiscriminately shelling just recently, resulting in the deaths of many people. We must let go of this clan loyalty and demand nothing short of xaq.
