Will Biden Admin recognise Somaliland as a country

Biden's foreign policy will be very similar to that of Obama's. Bush/Obama could've easily worked with SL or at least showed interest in SL when the Islamist "bush's #1 enemies" were ruling xamar and the majority of the south. Instead, they proposed to AY to use Ethiopia and pressured meles.
The USA was involved in Somalia since the 80's and its strategy been very clear.

IDK who advised warlord bixi to establish a relationship with Taiwan but they must really hate SL.

In what way did they pressure meles ?

Meles was more focused on trying to annex part of SL for sea access after he failed in Eritrea.
Bush hated the ICU cause of their anti-western agenda but was too preoccupied with Iraq/Afghanistan so he wanted Ethiopia to do the dirty work in Somalia. Meles refused multiple times until the USA offered him military aid and few other things.

I think the time window for somaliland's recognition is closing. Somaliland had it's beet chances between 1991 and 2012, while Somalia still had no recognized government
Biden doesn't care about SL and probably won't recognize them out of fear of encouraging other separatist movements in Africa. The african union is also against SL recognition right now.
The ONLY way SL can get full recognition is if Somalia agreed to let them go just like north Sudan did with South Sudan , otherwise SL will stay de facto independent but with no recognition for another 30 years.

Somaliland wasn't country before union 1960. It was just part of British colony.

PL has Cayn, Sool and Sanaag and control them.

So Current SL didnt secure British colony borders.

So 30 years was enough lesson to Isaaqs. they can try another 30 years. Nothing will change.

Apparently they were a legitimate country for 5 days before they joined the union :mjkkk:

SL was going to become a country for a short period of time before getting annexed by Haile Selassie. 1960 union is what saved them. Same for Djibouti who the Ethiopians were claiming it's their land.

Regardless tho comparing Djibouti/SL to a regional state in Italian SL is absurd.
Panini"land" entire existence is to sideline the republic of Somali"land" it seems.:damedamn:

Unlike Somaliland, Puntland has achieved its political objectives. What's left is the fine print. Those who make comparisons to Somaliland do it to minimize our achievements cause you have none yourself. The president of Somalia is in Dhusamareb and he is sleeping in an armored car because of Al Shabaab, that's all we need to know about you.

Who said that wikipedia :russ: .
No it's true. They got independent from the UK on 26 June 1960 that's why we also celebrate that day and then joined Somalia on 1st july 1960 when we also got independence from Italy. The Union was already planned but they got independent for less than a week and got some international recognition i think

The same as ours. The chose the Blue flag because they already wanted to unite with Somalia. Infact when landers say "we restored our independence" they actually mean that they were independent for 5 days before joining mama Somalia. :drakelaugh:

The italian Somalia wasn't a country either. The two sides formed the country. They wanted to name it the Somali republic but the french who was still colonizeing French Somaliland protested.

Dude it's very simple.
Somaliland leadership decided they would join Somalia so the chose the blue flag, for many years before Independence here many talks among landers on the issue of uniting with somalia. The italian administration in Somalia and somali leaders scheduled the independence on 1st July and on that day Somaliland also joined. This is a well known fact bro, I thought everyone knew this:whoa:
