I heard Romulus and Remus were originally Geeljire Faaraxs from Somalia who tahriibid to the Italian peninsula around 750 BC .

Rumors say , When they couldn't find any Caano geel , they started drinking wolf's milk.

"The Tomal (also known as Tumal, Tumaal, or Handad) are another endogamous artisanal caste among the Somali people. Their traditional hereditary professions have been blacksmiths, carpenters, and tanners. They, like the Madhibaan, have been dehumanised and are considered taboo. It was claimed that they are descended from genies, in nearly the same way medieval Arab historians described some early Palaeo-Arab tribes. Being associated with metals and fire, they have also been accused of sorcery and witchcraft. The were renowned for their traditional dress, which involved carrying a long spear as a walking stick, and a dagger strapped to a leather belt. The Tomal, like the Madhibaan, are probably the descendants of the proto-Semites, or the first black Sabaeans, who were scattered throughout the Horn of Africa and southern Arabia and became nomadic hunters, pushed down social staus in modern times, like the Muhamasheen of Yemen."

This is in the maldives:

Sofala
, at present known as Nova Sofala, used to be the chief seaport of the MwenemutapaKingdom, whose capital was at Mount Fura. It is located on the Sofala Bank in Sofala Provinceof Mozambique. It was founded by Somali Merchants. This name was given because the area is rich with resources. [1]

The somalis named it after fala which comes from the somali language

Some scholars have suggested the possibility of Ibn Battuta misreading Maldive texts ,and having a bias or felt partial towards the North African Maghrebi/Berber narrative of this Shaykh. Instead of the East African origins account that was known as well at the time.[3]Even when Ibn Battuta visited the islands of the Maldives, the governor of the island at that time was Abd Aziz Al Mogadishawi, a Somali[4].

Also another prominent Shaykh on the Island during Ibn Batuta's stay, was Shaykh Najib al Habashi Al Salih, another learned man from the Horn of Africa. His presence Indicating a strong Horn of African Islamic presence on the Island.[5]
