Islam obviously is the answer in terms of preventing this kind of thing but Islam is also the answer in terms of preventing suicide in this kind of situation (as well as preventing the man from killing his wife... she could be stoned to death and justice can be delivered without him having to go against the law).... what happened to him is a nightmare for any man and even for a Muslim it would be hard to deal with... but ultimately, if he has faith in the akhirah and he understands why it's a bad idea to commit suicide... insha'Allah even though he'd almost certainly be devastated he would overcome the temptation to commit suicide... and also to understand that this is not some ultimate humiliation for him... he may think it is, other people may think it is and it may feel that way but if he deals with this kind of thing and has faith in Allah and in Islam and is patient then in the eyes of Allah he might be honored and in the akhirah he could given all kinds of honor... the real success is reaching jannah, the real winner is the one who attains jannah, the real loser is the one who goes to jahannam.... so even if something like this happens to you, you don't have to feel ashamed and humiliated as long as you understand the true aim of life

The lashes are if an unmarried person commits zina. If the fornicator is married, the sentence is death by stoning.
edit: there is no question as to the stoning. but I was wondering as to whether the person who denies it is a valid subject of takfir.... and the person who denies it... I think clearly can be called as a kaafir.

Well, the Quran does mention it indirectly (Hadith clarifies the sort of Punishment). Then from the Hadith, a man who committed adultery and testified four times to the Prophet (PBUH) was stones for his actions.

both type of spouses deserve misery. But the issue with women is that when they cheat on their partner they do it emotionally and may even do paternity fraud on top of that her husband is providing her everything, women cheating is much worse.

This is why I always advice the Abdis to never wife naag cadaan, because you might end up raising another Faraxs kids.. With a somali woman especially one with akhlaaq and diin I'm 99% sure this will never happen.
