why's it ok

for a short woman to want her man to be tall but wrong when a darkskin man wants his woman to be lightskin? both height and skintone are features you're born with so why is one accepted and the other vilified?
Let’s be honest preferring light kin women is rooted in self hate. Look at somalis before colonialism, the standard of beauty of women was dark skin it was never light skin. Our minds have been colonised.

The media has a control over what we perceive as attractive unfortunately, modern day Somalis are impacted by it. I'm lighter than 99% of Somali folks but on a fucked up subconscious level I don't know why I prefer lighter skinned woman.

And that is a problem. People can like what they like but representation and having control over our own media is important. Somalis back home are watching hindi and turkish. They look up to these women which I feel like causes the increase in bleaching.

Is this about that dark skin activist lady?:mjhaps:

I agree. Most men would rather prefer a cute lightskin instead of a dark charcoal Shaytan but they don’t want to admit it because of the feminist agenda and political correctness.

My preference is lightskin but you can’t deny there are 10/10 beautiful dark skin women so calling them shaytans is wrong

Height is a trait that is universal. Any culture or race can be either tall or short. You could argue that certain people, i.e. European Dutch or Maasai African tribes people are proportionately more likely to have men in their community over 6ft. Women like taller men for biological security reasons that is ingrained.

Skin tone is different. Yes it’s a feature, but heavily associated with race. People have been enslaved and tortured because of their skin. So when you favour a specific skin tone, it immediately conjures up some form of internalised racism. This disturbs a lot of people of colour. You have to be careful by overtly displaying your preference in this domain.
