im not sure if that's the case in Somalia in general, not the diaspora.

too many business opportunities in Somalia, the tech industry for example is not even in it's infancy yet. I find we are too reactive instead of proactive in somalia

somalis, and by extension the entire muslim world, were fine before secularism showed up.

somalis were a near european tier bunch on nations that took multiple post ww1 european nations and abyssinia to subdue.

somalis were the first africans in china and they traded to far off lands and ammassed great wealth.

somalis made grand arab states like oman oay tribute to them before secularism.

Secularist somalia can’t even defend itsself from tiny rebels and can’t function in any elections.

The guy in the video is African coonyahow. Somalis are the most successful businessmen per capita. Nigerians are mostly scammers and they have a much larger population than Somalis. Go to Eastleigh and you will see how successful Somali businesses are. Somalia’ do good working together in small groups and in business. They are just bad at government and state building.

I think dominate is too strong of a word to use. And if they do then i would like to be corrected and to know what sector they dominate.


I saw the comment below from somali diaspora that went to kenya.

Somali’s are doing ok but facts are their impact on Kenya’s gdp is minimal & way over exaggerated. There’s only so much you can contribute to the economy through retailing cheap Chinese merchandise (which is the majority of the businesses).

A lot of the stuff they sell in Kenya for instance counterfeit products from China, it doesnt get taxed, so the local authority/gov dont make money on them. Not to say everything they sell is illegal nor that they dont do decent in other sectors like the trucking business. But let's not exaggerate and say they dominate the economy lol.
