The reason many don’t want to live and would rather die is because their families who left previously have never returned.

Interestingly this is in Surah Hashar, which is about the expulsion of of Banu Nadir from Medina after they betrayed the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Muslims while they were fighting their enemies despite treaties
But seriously one ummah is real and and thinking yourself as a nation state has proven false again and again even European countries are nothing but a part of a larger whole
Of Somalis main virtues that they bring to the table for the Muslims is sincerity
I do believe the general population would be open to it
